My first post – March 20, 2009
Today is the first day of spring 2009 in Boston! What a great day to start something new… I’m going to write about my life in Back Bay and try to find answers to some questions I have about me, people around, this city, country and our whole world, no matter now tiny it may look to some aliens…
Yesterday was my mom’s birthday and she turned 58. I asked her how long she wants to live for. I mentioned that it is important to think about especially in regards to current economical crisis. People planned to live off their savings for many years, but now that those savings have shrunk, there is a challenge and some of them are forced to go back to work or at least spend less and plan accordingly.
My mom got kind of quiet on the phone, then answered: “At least 70, but hopefully 80”. “Me too”, I said and wished her good health. I miss her and can’t wait to see her soon. She and dad will come to visit me in less than one month!
